So as you can see, I haven’t put much time into the blog recently.  I have just been in a season of “dryness”(if thats a real word).  Just recently graduated from GA State on Saturday. I sense a new chapter about to start with renewed energy and refreshed insight.  I will be back writing soon, because it is one of my passions.

Stay tuned for the things to come on the horizon..

Jaded

•Tuesday, February 17, 2009 • 2 Comments

cynicalThe sad truth is that the longer I remain single, the more cynical and jaded I become about finding love. The negativity comes off as bitterness and encourages a never ending cycle that is not so attractive.

So how do you date and remain single without letting yourself become jaded? I see it all around me with singles my age. It slowly creeps in, and before you know it, you have given up on true love and end up settling for the next person who walks through your door…just so you dont have to spend the rest of your life waiting for some “fairy-tale ending” that will never come true. I will never settle…but I may end up alone if I dont change my attitude towards people.

The opposite of cynicism is hope, trust, optimism.

Focusing on the positive, not the negative..and being able to see the good in people is where I will start breaking this cynical cycle.

And any other advice is much appreciated…

Obama moved by homeless woman at town hall meeting

I was so inspired when I saw this story on the news the other night. Watch as Henrietta Hughes humbly asks Obama for help for her and her family who has been living out of a small car.

Watch here as one of his staff members and his wife give her a place to live.

Google Latitude

•Wednesday, February 4, 2009 • 1 Comment

Recently heard about the new “google latitude” where you can share your locations with your friends. This new technology brings up a map that shows precisely the location you are at and even the places you were minutes and hours ago.

You have complete control over who can see where you are or share only a city-level location with certain friends.

You can get latitude easily on your phone by entering your number into the website and sending a link.

Hmm..interesting. I may have to try this one out.

Love The Fray!

My sister and I went to the Variety Playhouse the other night for an intimate concert with The Fray. Here is one of my favorite songs, “Look After You” performed live. I got most of it before my camera died.
There is just something so sexy about a man who is musically talented;)

Louie Giglio along with Chris Tomilin and Christy Nockels are starting a new church in Atlanta called Passion City Church. I am so excited to attend the first launch on February 15th at the Tabernacle.

Who else is with me?!

The adventure awaits..

Realizing that life is NOT going to happen on my time.

Spending too much energy planning my future, career, and trying to grow up too fast.

Ready to let go of the life I have planned out in my head and embrace the adventure.

Ready to live, to dream, to travel and embrace the world one step at a time.

I have asked the question, “where are we going next?” and am waiting to hear the answer.  This should be exciting.
