The prayer which should have been prayed by Andy. “Woe unto that Nation who puts other Gods before me, and to those leaders who propagate unrighteousness! May they not think that their leadership or Country will be honored or blessed by a righteous God who cannot even look upon sin!. I say, Repent and Turn from your wicked ways in order to stay off the judgment of an all righteous God! May God have mercy on the soul of this Once Great Nation, and may we as a Nation turn once again to the one and only true Jehovah God, the God of our Father’s!”

Hi – To my understanding the prayer that Andy Stanley delivered was drawn in part from George Washington’s Inaugural Prayer Service

Andy Stanley, founder of North Point Ministries, has been asked to be a part of the Fifty-sixth Presidential Inaugural prayer service. Below is the prayer he has been asked to read.
A Prayer for Civil Rulers
Gracious God, whose glory is in all the world:
We commend this nation to your merciful care that, being guided by your Providence,
we may dwell secure in your peace.
Grant to Barack Obama, President of the United States,
and to all in authority, your grace and good will.
Bless them with your heavenly gifts.
Give them wisdom and strength to know and do your will.
Fill them with the love of truth and righteousness,
and make them ever mindful of their calling to serve the people of this land in honor of you;
through Jesus Christ our lord.

Just wanted to clarify that this was not something Andy scripted and which is why he read it as opposed to praying a prayer in his own words.

I am proud that our country has a fellow like Andy Stanley. I hope that his message is heard by more Americans….Andy Stanley is the man we need in Church and State. I pray God magnifies his message so that all American’s can atleast have the opportunity to hear him speak. He could possibly be the exact Change God himself wants us to experience.
